I love this crazy, tragic, Sometimes almost magic, Awful, beautful life

Sometimes life throws you curve-balls, they aren't always easy to handle, but sometimes with a little patience you can overcome being overwhelmed by them.  Today was my curve-ball. I'm planning a move soon and now my car will be headed to the shop for an ECU problem? The cost $900 plus tax, ridiculous by all accounts. Although this is awful, it has allowed me to step back and organize all of my ideas, and get a clearer picture of what I want to accomplish with this move. Also today Steve Jobs reacquired the top spot in the social media universe. The brand new Iphone is out, Iphone4. It is pretty amazing what can be put in a phone. Also the implications of this device are so far-reaching, if you can do everything with a phone than you won't have to carry around a huge laptop, you won't need a pda (whatever happened to the pda) or possibly even a calculator.  I've also thought about the education possibilities of the Ipad and the Kindle. The future of education completely rests in how we can harness technology and mold, and mentor, and manage the new devices. Imagine the day you can carry your Ipad and have all of your textbooks, all of your notes, and all other information. You can also then have the information on your Iphone as well for when you can't carry around your Ipad. It is an amazing thought. The implication for design students to be able to create a project anywhere that creativity hits them, business students to be able to straighten out charts, and analytical processes. Or graphic designs or web design to create the next generation. It is a beautiful thought to me. Or Chemistry students to be able to analyze and interpret chemicals in 180 degrees. Imagine, create, discover, and see the next generation become the best generation.

Soapbox

My soapbox for the day. I really hate drunk phone calls. I don't find them funny, charming, or endearing. I find them incredibly annoying. I find them even more annoying at 1 am when I am attempting to sleep. I understand some people like to have a lot of fun, I like to have fun, but seriously if you know you are a serial drunk dialer then hide your phone. This is my soapbox and I'm hopping down. I just had an amazing Eggs Benedict and about to have a beautiful cup of coffee and enjoy the beautiful day today. Wherever you are you can find the beauty in the weather and climate. If it is rainy it is refreshing, washing away the dirt and stress and renewing your spirit. The thunder awakes you to ideas and new perspectives. The sun we experience all the growth of God's creation and feel that warmth that surrounds us that makes us believe in a better day. It is a beautiful world.

First Blog

I wrote this blog to chronicle the next chapter in my life, the stories I find, the news I discover, great restaurants, and amazing journeys. Moving to a new place where I know barely anyone and basically starting over. It is incredibly scary but incredibly exciting. Atlanta is a huge city, but I plan to immerse myself in it completely. Life just isn't worth living if it isn't being lived with everything you have. Stay passionate, stay hungry, stay driven, and stay focused, and not only learn to overcome your fears, overcome your obstacles, and overcome the hindrances that life throws at you. Let the beauty of God's creation be your sight in this world whether it is admiring sunsets, smelling flowers, traveling the world, or meeting new people. Life is a beautiful thing.
